FORECLOSURE TRAINING FOR ATTORNEYS

Attorneys can now receive Foreclosure Project training programs from the convenience of their offices or homes.

In order to participate in the Foreclosure Project, attorneys must first complete the basic training course: “The Nuts & Bolts of Maryland’s Foreclosure Process and Strategies for Effective Loss Mitigation Negotiation.” The basic training is free in return for accepting at least one pro bono foreclosure case in which attorneys will negotiate with mortgage servicers to help homeowners avoid foreclosure.

To register, download and submit the Basic Training Registration Form. Once PBRC receives the registration form, we will send you the webcast access instructions. If you are not contacted by PBRC within one business day of submission, please contact PBRC to confirm receipt of your registration form.

Once you have completed the basic training, you are eligible to take any of the advanced training programs that have been previously offered through the Project. You can view webcasts of the advanced training classes for free in exchange for taking an additional pro bono foreclosure case for every advanced class taken. In order to receive access to any of the advanced webcasts, please Download the Advanced Training Registration Form and return to Pro Bono Resource Center.

All training registration forms should be returned to Pro Bono Resource Center by email, fax or regular mail.
