Panelist, Ethics in Pro Bono Practice: Navigating Common Challenges

Jacob Kmiech is a staff attorney and former Equal Justice Works fellow at CASA on their housing team. This talented attorney joined CASA’s fight for the representation and fair treatment of all Marylanders facing eviction.

Jacob received his J.D. from William & Mary Law School. He was a member of William & Mary Law School’s Domestic Violence Clinic, Graduate Council Marketing Chair, Vice President of the school’s Graduate Complex Community Council and was employed by the institution’s law library.

Jacob also interned in the areas of immigration law, international law, and crime victim rights advocacy. Before law school, Jacob worked several odd jobs and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Gustavus Adolphus College, where he studied history, English, and Scandinavian studies. Jake has a working knowledge of Spanish and can speak some German and Swedish. He is also an Eagle Scout.
