Panelist and Coordinator, The Threat to Disability Rights in Public Education
Diana K. Wyles, Esq., is a veteran special educator and attorney with extensive experience in education law and leadership. She began her career as a special education teacher and school
leader before earning her law degree from The Catholic University, Columbus School of Law in 2008. She then established a solo practice representing families in special education and
domestic relations matters.
Diana went on to serve as associate counsel for Baltimore City Public Schools, focusing on special education, Section 504 accommodations, and student discipline, before joining Prince
George’s County Public Schools to handle contracts, transactions, and charter school matters. She played a key role in developing a landmark public-private partnership to construct
six new schools.
In 2021, she joined Montgomery County Public Schools, where she rose to Associate Superintendent of Special Education, overseeing services for more than 22,000 students and 4,000 professionals. In 2025, she returned to Prince George’s County Public Schools while pursuing a doctorate in special education leadership at the University of Maryland.
