Panelist, Building Successful Programs: Using Evaluation and Data-Driven Decision-Making to Increase Effectiveness and Foster a Culture of Continuous Improvement

Holly R. Stevens, Ph.D., is the Director of Evaluation and Learning at Children’s Law Center, a nonprofit legal services organization in Washington, DC. At CLC, Holly leads all data management and evaluation efforts. This includes process and system improvement, impact evaluations, building evaluation capacity,  and assisting programs make data-informed practice changes to benefit clients and their families. Prior to joining Children’s Law Center in 2012, Dr. Stevens served as an assistant research professor at George Mason University where she directed evaluations of several state and county public defender offices and served as co-principal investigator on a federally funded grant focused on improving training for public defenders.  She has also served as a lead researcher and consultant on several applied research and evaluation projects funded at both state and federal levels focusing on access to justice, juvenile justice, and health in juvenile justice facilities.
