Panelist, Law & (dis)Orders: Protecting and Preserving Dignity of Persons with Disabilities in the Courtroom

Katelyn's primary focus as your trusted attorney is on wills, trusts, and estates. She is driven by a deep-seated desire to assist families, especially those with disabled members, in securing their futures. Her mission is to provide peace of mind through meticulous planning and legal expertise.

Katelyn's extensive educational journey includes earning a Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law in May 2022, which laid the foundation for her legal career. Subsequently, Katelyn was admitted to practice law in the state of Maryland in November 2022 and New Jersey in June 2024. Other educational endeavors also include a Bachelor of Arts from American University in 2005 and a Master of Public Administration in 2007, as well as a graduate certificate from Georgetown University. In addition, Katelyn has also taken extensive coursework in American Sign Language at Gallaudet University.

While Katelyn dedicates her time to helping families secure their futures, Katelyn is also the voice behind "Legally Autistic," a thought- provoking blog on Facebook where she delves into the intricate intersection of legal issues and the challenges faced by disabled and autistic individuals. While in law school, she recognized the need for a platform that amplifies the voices of disabled students, thus she founded the University of Baltimore Disabled Law Students Association (DLSA). Serving as a catalyst for change, DLSA aimed to remove barriers and enhance accessibility in both legal education and the legal profession. Additionally, Katelyn proudly served on the national board for DLSA as the Director of Professional Development.

When Katelyn isn’t working, she enjoys traveling with her husband Kyle. She is an active member of USA Fencing as a competitive veteran fencer and a member of the National Tournament Team. She also volunteers with the Montgomery County (MD) Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).
