Viola Woolums currently works as Chief Legal Council to the Mayor's Commission on Disabilities in the Baltimore City Office of Equity & Civil Rights. She studied at the University of Maryland School of Law, where she graduated with a Health Law Certificate and as part of the Women, Leadership & Equality Program. Viola began her career in the high-volume legal services practice of Maryland Legal Aid. There, she worked as the firm's Ryan White Attorney primarily handling administrative law matters for clients living with HIV/AIDS. She then served as Director of Senior Legal Services, the legal services arm of the Bar Association of Baltimore City.
