Lunch Program & Keynote Address by Zachary Perez

The Lunch Program and Keynote Address will bring conference participants together for a shared meal and a timely conversation on access to justice. The program will feature acknowledgements from key access-to-justice leaders, reflecting on the state of justice in Maryland and the collective responsibility of the legal and advocacy community to address systemic inequities.
The program will also include the Keynote Address by Zachary Blas Perez, lead immigration attorney for detained clients at Sanabria & Associates. Perez brings frontline experience from removal defense and humanitarian immigration advocacy, including his representation of a U.S. citizen subjected to a prolonged and unjust deportation process. A compelling and passionate speaker, Perez will speak to the real-world consequences of injustice and the urgent need for coordinated, values-driven action across institutions and communities.
Attendees are encouraged to complete session evaluations and the PBRC Survey during the lunch program. Participants who submit evaluations for the morning sessions will be entered into raffles featuring prizes announced during the program.
