Volunteer attorneys will advise immigrant parents about family legal options and assist with preparing family safety planning legal documents, such as financial powers of attorney, medical powers of attorney, and Maryland’s Kinship and Health Care Affidavits. Volunteer Spanish-speakers are also needed to interpret and help parents create their family safety packets. By participating in this clinic, you will help parents plan for what will happen to their children if they are detained or deported by immigration.
Malpractice insurance, interpreters, and training are provided.
