Panelist, Law on the Frontlines: Libraries as Partners in Access to Justice
Catherine McGuire is the Deputy Director of the Thurgood Marshall State Law Library. In her two decades at the State Law Library, Catherine has implemented and guided the outreach activities of the library. Her focus has been on efforts to educate, through reference services, the wider Maryland community about resources for free legal information and foundations of basic civics to support access to justice. Catherine received her B.A. from Duke University and her M.S.L.S. from the Catholic University of America. She has been at the State Law Library since 2003, first as Outreach Services Law Librarian, then as Head of Reference and Outreach. Prior to that, she worked at a law firm library in Washington, D.C.
