Katherine Davis, Esq., is a lawyer specializing in housing, education and poverty law in Baltimore, Maryland.  As the Director of the Courtroom Advocacy Project with the Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland (PBRC), she works to ensure that tenants and consumers in and around Baltimore City have access to legal counsel when they need it most to avoid evictions and other adverse judgements.  Prior to joining PBRC, she worked at the University of Baltimore Law School’s Center for Families, Children and the Courts, providing counsel and advocacy for children and their parents relating to special educational services, public benefits, inadequate housing, evictions, guardianship and school discipline. Ms. Davis has also served as an Assistant Attorney General for both the Maryland and Georgia Offices of the Attorney General. She has taught classes related to Education Law, Civil Rights, Children and the Legal System and Legal Writing as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Baltimore Law School, the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, Towson University and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She received a J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law in Athens, Georgia, and a baccalaureate from the University of Richmond.
