Laurence (Larry) C. Boylan received his J.D. from the Northeastern University School of Law, and his B.A. from the University of Rochester. He has had several leadership roles at Maryland Legal Aid (MLA). During the last five years, he has been instrumental in the creation and implementation of its new Centralized Intake Unit where he is currently a Supervising Attorney. Prior to that, he was a Supervising Attorney for its innovative subsidiary, the MD Center for Legal Assistance. Additionally, for two years in the mid-2000s, he was the manager of their Pro Se Litigants Assistance Project in the Circuit Court of Baltimore City. In September 2023, MLA implemented a Social Work Student Intern Program through which two Social Work students, supervised by a Field Instructor, assist MLA clients with their non-legal issues.
