Dr. Anne Boyle is an Equal Justice Works Fellow and staff attorney with the Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland where she is part of PBRC’s Housing Justice Program under their Courtroom Advocacy Project. Previously, she was a research scientist in Less Commonly Taught Languages at the Center for Advanced Study of Language, University of Maryland-College Park.
Boyle’s dual interests in language and justice were first sparked at her alma mater, St. John’s College, in Annapolis, Maryland, and further cultivated by research projects in Madurai, India, and among US immigrant communities. She holds a PhD in linguistics from the University of Chicago and a JD from the University of Maryland Carey School of Law.
