Innovations in Justice: Using Design Sprint to Generate Game-changing Ideas
Session 2: 11:15 AM - 12:30 PM | Room 306
Those working in legal services live in the tension between the option of helping everyone a little or the alternative of providing more thorough representation to a few – limited by staff time and funding. Beyond simply printing unlimited money, any resolution of this tension seems likely to involve (a) law reform; (b) new program models; (c) some technical innovation; or some combination of such game-changing ideas. If you had a free wish, to use in eliminating legal needs, what would it be? Panelists will challenge specific assumptions in these areas, and ask you for your best, your boldest, and your riskiest ideas for building a better system.
Panelists:
- Meredith Girard, Mid-Shore Pro Bono
- Dena Robinson, Civil Rights Attorney
- Leland Sampson, Thurgood Marshall State Law Library
Moderator:
- Dave Pantzer, Maryland Legal Services Corporation
