Estate Planning Basics for Low-Income Clients
Help Homeowners Preserve Generational Wealth with Estate Planning
Make a Difference in Your Community!
Low-income Marylanders often struggle to pass down their homes and assets due to a lack of access to legal support. By volunteering at estate planning clinics, you can help families protect their homes, preserve generational wealth, and plan for the future.
To prepare volunteers for this impactful work, PBRC offers a free training on estate planning basics. Completion of this training is required before volunteering.
Volunteer Opportunity
Estate Planning Clinics are scheduled ad-hoc in various venues in Baltimore City and Baltimore County. Clinics generally run from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, with occasional exceptions. Dates are shared with trained volunteers as they are scheduled.
Attorneys interested in volunteering in other Maryland counties can prepare estate plans through regional legal services providers that place estate planning matters with volunteers.
Why Volunteer with Us?
Estate planning is a powerful tool for preserving generational wealth and ensuring families can stay in their homes. By volunteering, you’ll help Marylanders:
- Protect their homes and assets
- Make informed decisions about their health and finances
- Gain peace of mind for themselves and their loved ones
Volunteers are fully supported through a required training, on-site mentorship at clinics, and malpractice insurance coverage for their pro bono matters—so you can serve with confidence and impact.
