Know Your Rights: Free Help for Renters
The Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland’s Tenant Justice Program (TJP) is teaming up with the Pratt Library to offer free sessions about renter and tenant rights. We provide free legal help to tenants in Baltimore City and Baltimore County who are at risk of eviction. Our goal is to help you stay in your home by connecting you to resources and giving advice on how to manage your rent and other bills. We also work to make sure all tenants are treated fairly across the state.
At these sessions, TJP representatives will talk about important topics like:
· Laws that affect tenants
· Your rights as a tenant
· How to work with your landlord
· How to get extra help and support
· How to handle court issues
There will also be time for you to ask questions and get personal advice. Registration is not required.
If you have any questions or need special accommodations, please contact our Programs and Outreach team at (410) 396-5494 or events@prattlibrary.org by Monday, May 12th.
