MdVLA Art Law Clinic

Maryland Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (MdVLA)’s Art Law Clinics occur one Saturday afternoon each month. During a Clinic, Maryland-based artists can receive 30-minute one-on-one consultations with volunteer attorneys to discuss their short-form legal issues related to their creative work. The goal is to provide legal information to artists to make more informed decisions, ideally helping to solidify their legal concerns prior to receiving legal representation. Artists must pre-register and share their questions in advance. Volunteer attorneys receive all relevant information prior to the event date.
