MSBA & Other CLE Courses Available Through PBRC
MSBA CLE
Maryland State Bar Association (MSBA) and PBRC offer 3 free and 3 discounted slots for select MSBA Continuing Legal Education (CLE) courses.
- Volunteer lawyers are eligible for 1 of the 3 free slots in exchange for accepting a pro bono case referral from a recognized pro bono legal services program.
- Staff legal services lawyers (e.g., public defenders, prosecutors, Maryland Legal Aid, Public Justice Center, House of Ruth, etc.) are eligible for 1 of the 3 discounted slots for 50% off the regular course cost.
Slots will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
MAJ Educational Programs
Maryland Association for Justice (MAJ) offers MAJ Member pricing for MAJ educational programs to lawyers who have already accepted a pro bono commitment through a PBRC training within the past 12 months OR who commit to answer at least three legal questions for low-income Marylanders, using the https://Maryland.FreeLegalAnswers.org website within 1 year of registration. (Instructions will be provided.)

- Complete the appropriate Registration online. You will receive an auto-reply confirming your submission immediately.
- PBRC will communicate with MSBA/MAJ to confirm approval that you can participate.
- MSBA/MAJ will contact you to collect further information and/or payment.
- PBRC will send a referral notice to volunteer lawyers and pass along your contact information to partners organizations who will reach out to place a pro bono case.
You are not officially registered for the training until either PBRC, MSBA, or MAJ contacts you after you've submitted your registration.
