This training covers the basics of mortgage lending and loan servicing, the foreclosure process, representing homeowners at foreclosure mediation, loan modifications and other loss mitigation options, as well as post-mediation options. Participation is open to attorneys eligible to practice in Maryland who agree to accept 1 pro bono foreclosure case placement within 1 year of registering. Malpractice insurance, case support, and access to a mentor will be available to attorneys taking pro bono cases.
