Panelist, Listening as a Tool for Community and Client-Centered Advocacy
Angela Young is the Eviction Prevention Counselor for Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland. For more that 15 years she has worked in a Human Services capacity to assist clients undergoing major life transitions. She believes that everyone has the right to safe and affordable housing and that a lack of affordable housing significantly impacts physical and mental health. Working daily with clients in dire situations requires her to listen to understand their point of view, acknowledge their feelings, show empathy, be non-judgmental and collaborate with the clients to foster the best possible outcome.
