Panelist, Litigating in the Wild West: Trial Techniques for District Court
Kayla Williams-Campbell is the Deputy Director for Community Legal Services of Prince George’s County, Inc. (CLS), where she manages and oversees the organization’s grants programs, and client and project development. Kayla began working with CLS in 2018 as a Staff Attorney tasked with piloting the organization’s Prince George’s County Eviction Prevention Program. Due to the success of this program, and under Kayla’s leadership, CLS expanded to also serve Anne Arundel County. Since 2018, CLS has provided representation and advice in more than 14,000 landlord/tenant cases. Kayla has testified before the Maryland General Assembly in favor of several housing bills. She is a former Maryland State Bar Association Leadership Academy Fellow, a recipient of the Daily Record Leading Women Under 40 and Maryland Legal Services Corporation Rising Star awards, and she currently serves as a Board Member for the Neighborhood Design Center, Inc. Prior to joining CLS, Kayla clerked with the Baltimore City Circuit Court for the Honorable Melissa K. Copeland. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from Southern University Law Center, and her undergraduate degree from Hampton University.
