Panelist, The Impact on Mental Health and the Capacity to Parent in Child Custody Cases
Lindsay Parvis has practiced family law since 2002 and is a partner at Joseph, Greenwald & Laake. Her cases focus on complex custody and family law legal matters, including representing children in contested custody litigation. In addition to her litigation practice, she is a custody mediator and parenting coordinator. Her practice focuses on Montgomery, Howard, Frederick, Anne Arundel, and Prince George’s Counties. Lindsay is active in many associations, such as the MSBA’s Family & Juvenile Law Section, American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML), Inns of Court in Montgomery and Howard Counties, the Divorce Roundtable of Montgomery County, and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts/AFCC, including Maryland’s Chapter. She is very interested in legislative family law developments, having monitored, advocated, and educated about these since 2005. Her legal musings can be found at lindsayparvis.com. Lindsay has had the pleasure of presenting legal education for the judiciary and attorneys on topics such as representing children in contested custody cases, child support and alimony, third party custody, and Maryland legislative developments. When not overthinking the law and her cases, she enjoys walking, yoga, scuba diving, exploring Assateague Island, VA, sleuthing out BBC murder mysteries/detective series, rekindling her French language skills, and learning about wine.
