Monica Mananzan is a managing attorney at Capital Area Immigrants’ Rights (CAIR) Coalition, she maintains an active docket of detained and non-detained immigrant cases before the immigration courts, Board of Immigration Appeals, and USCIS. She mentors CAIR Coalition staff and pro bono attorneys and conducts trainings on humanitarian-based immigration reliefs and procedural remedies. She is a member of Law360's Immigration Editorial Advisory Board. Prior to joining CAIR Coalition, she was the VAWA attorney at Esperanza Center (Catholic Charities of Baltimore). Born, raised, and educated in the Philippines, her passion for immigration advocacy draws from her own immigrant experience.
