Moderator, Race Equity Part 1: Moving Beyond the Basics
Natalie Coley-Lawrence has worked at Maryland Legal Aid for over 17 years, first as a staff attorney and then as Chief Attorney of Intake Services. In her current role as Chief Attorney of Centralized Intake, she is managing MLA’s transition to a statewide telephone intake system that ensures eligible clients a consistent intake experience and affords them the opportunity to speak with an attorney on their very first contact with MLA. Before joining MLA, Natalie worked as an attorney with the Domestic Violence Center of Howard County (now HopeWorks) and as a case law editor for LexisNexis. Natalie currently is the chair of MLA’s Diversity and Inclusion Workgroup. Natalie earned her J.D. at the University of Maryland School of Law and her B.A. in International Relations from Schiller International University in Heidelberg, Germany.
