Vicki Schultz is the Executive Director of Maryland Legal Aid, where she has been leading since June 2022. Under her leadership, Maryland Legal Aid continues its mission of providing life-changing civil legal assistance to low-income and marginalized individuals across the state. With over two decades of experience in legal and social justice sectors, Vicki has a proven track record of advocating for the human dignity and fundamental rights of vulnerable populations. Before joining Maryland Legal Aid, she served as the Associate Dean at the University of Baltimore Law School and as Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Rights Division at the U.S. Department of Justice.
Vicki's commitment to social justice extends beyond her professional roles. She has been an active board member of the Public Justice Center, where she worked to confront systemic injustice and poverty. Additionally, she chaired the New Song Community Learning Center, contributing to the educational development of children in West Baltimore. Vicki holds a Bachelor of Arts from Dickinson College and a Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law. Her extensive experience and dedication make her a formidable advocate for equal access to justice.
