Nearly all immigrant children who are unable to obtain representation with their deportation case are ordered deported. Many of those children who have been abandoned, abused, or neglected by at least one of their parents also needed an attorney to represent their caregiver in a family law case before the state courts. Register for this training and commit to preventing deportations. Cases involve representation before the MD Circuit Court or the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, or both!

Participating lawyers must agree to accept at least one SIJS case from a Maryland Immigrant Legal Assistance Project (MILAP) partner within one year of registering.
