View the training online anytime. You will be emailed the training link within 1 business day of registering.

The training covers Maryland criminal record expungement law, working with low-income and homeless clients, expungement filing and Court process, and expungement mistakes and how to avoid them. Participating lawyers must be barred in Maryland and agree to accept 3 client matters from an MLSC-grantee expungement provider within 1 year of registering. Non-attorneys may participate if they commit to volunteering to assist with expungements for an MLSC-grantee provider.

You can also fulfill your pro bono commitment at an expungement clinic!

The Charles County Office of the Public Defender in LaPlata, MD is hosting a Criminal Record Expungement Fair, on Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM, where clients can meet with volunteer lawyers to assess and assist with expungement filings. Indicate your interest in the clinic when you register (through questions on the form) for more information.

This training is sponsored by Maryland Legal Services Corporation (MLSC) and is a proud partnership of the following MLSC grantees: Allegany Law Foundation, Community Legal Services of Prince George's County, FreeState Justice, Homeless Persons Representation Project, Maryland Legal Aid, Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service, Mid-Shore Pro Bono, Inc., and Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland.
