Consumer Protection Project (CPP) Clinics with Courtroom Advocacy Project (CAP)

Immigration Consults with Maryland Immigrant Legal Assistance Project (MILAP)

Volunteer attorneys (barred in any state) help immigrant children and families fleeing violence in their home countries gain access to critical legal assistance with their valid claims to remain in the country. Remote and in-court opportunities available.

Estate Planning Clinics with Home Preservation Project (HPP)

Volunteer attorneys meet one-on-one with Baltimore City clients at an in-person clinic and prepare wills, advance medical directives, and financial powers of attorney. Lawyers with more than two years of estate planning experience can opt out of training by contacting Allison Harris, Director of HPP, at aharris@probonomd.org.

How We Help

PBRC connects lawyers and others to meaningful pro bono opportunities (at PBRC and at other Maryland legal services provider organizations) based on their substantive interests and geographical preferences. Lawyers can volunteer in many ways across Maryland – from direct representation and giving brief advice at legal clinics to answering calls on a hotline, serving as a volunteer mediator, or assisting with research and writing projects. Other advocates can interpret for lawyers and clients, volunteer at clinics, do intakes, and assist volunteer lawyers with direct representation.
