Evan R. Seamone is an attorney who specializes in veterans’ benefits law and the responsiveness of legal systems to veterans and their families. He is a Fellow with the National Institute of Military Justice and a member of the National Institute of Corrections’ Justice-Involved Veterans Network. He most recently represented Veterans in his capacity as the Visiting Director, Veterans and Servicemembers Legal Clinic, University of Florida, Levin College of Law. Prior to this, Evan was a staff attorney at the Veterans Legal Clinic at the Legal Services Center of Harvard Law School where he provided legal services to underserved veterans in the community, including incarcerated veterans throughout the state of Massachusetts. He recently retired after 20 years of uniformed service in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps, where he served in the Reserves and on Active Duty. During his tours in Iraq, Germany, and at domestic military installations, Evan participated in sexual assault, complex death penalty, and other felony criminal cases involving PTSD as a prosecutor and defense attorney.
