What are your interests/hobbies?

In my free time, I enjoy volunteering at Hidden Harvest, an urban farm in Greenmount. It’s a beautiful place to spend time, as well as a great community resource. I also enjoy biking and exploring the city.

How did get involved with PBRC? What were you doing prior to working here?

My role at Hidden Harvest encouraged me to want to learn more about the fight for justice and equality going on right here in the city. This led me to PBRC. With my background in campaigns and legal recruiting, PBRC was a great fit to use my skills right here in Baltimore.

What do you do at PBRC?

As Operation Specialist, I support the Trainings and Operations Department through database management, event planning, and logistics. I help onboard new volunteers and administer the MBSA Retired Attorney Program, connecting newly retired lawyers with pro bono opportunities.  I also manage the Maryland Free Legal Answers website, among other tasks.

What motivates you, OR who is a hero, OR what is a quote that inspires you to do the work you do?

In this role, I get to interact with truly incredible people.  It’s inspiring to see the work they do every day to build justice, creating a better community for us all to enjoy.

What has been your most meaningful experience with PBRC?

The opportunity to work with our great volunteers and connect them with purpose in our community means a lot to me.

What sets PBRC apart in your mind, OR what do you appreciate about the mission?

In a community with so much need, PBRC’s approach to non-profit work is critical. As a referral service, training center, and advocacy program, PBRC is unique in providing both the individual care and the big picture strategic planning needed to build equal access to justice in our community.
